    Kimball Union Academy Boys’ Soccer: Friendship, Tradition, Excellence
     
    The Kimball Union Academy boys’ soccer team competes against many of the top teams in the New England Class A and B Prep School Soccer Leagues. In the 2023 season, the team won the 2023 NEPSAC Class B Championship and clinched the Lakes Region League title for the third year in a row.
     
    The boys’ soccer program at KUA offers four competitive interscholastic teams. The varsity team traditionally boasts a diverse representation of players local to the school’s region and from around the globe. In the past 10 years, players have come to KUA from five African countries, six European nations, four Asian states, and six countries representing South and North America.
     
    Many of KUA’s former players have played and continue to play at many top DI, II, and III schools. Recent graduates have played at the following colleges and universities: Harvard, Dartmouth, North Carolina State, Hobart, Trinity, Bowdoin, St. Lawrence, Bates, and Wheaton.

  • Wildcats score late for tie

    Senior Ethan Barrett scored in the 84th minute to get the Wildcats a draw with Andover. Assist on the play went to Sebastin Morris. Defensively, Sophomore Matty Gardner and Senior Colin Lewis played strong games for KUA. Freshman Owen Lewis also had a strong game in his first start of the season. KUA is now 7-5-3 on the season and travel to Exeter for an afternoon match on Wednesday 11/6.
  • KUA holds Bershire to draw

    KUA Wildcats played a scoreless 90 minutes against a very good Berkshire team at home on Pope Field. Berkshire had a number of quality chances but the KUA defense stayed strong all afternoon. Senior keeper Liam Fitzgerald made 8 saves on the day. KUA had two good chances in the second half but were unable to convert. Wildcats are now 7-3-2 on the season and head to Worcester Academy on Saturday October 26th for an afternoon match up.

  • Wildcats win late!

    KUA got on the board early when Senior Gonzalo Pascual-Sanchiz scored at the 16 minute mark on an assist from Junior Quinn Guth. New Hampton answered back just 4 minutes later, getting to a loose ball in the box after a great save from wildcat keeper Liam Fitzgerald. The match stay tied until the 88th minute when Quinn Guth finished off a rebound from Sean Donoghue. KUA managed the last 2 minutes of the match to seal the hard fought victory. KUA is now 7-2-1 on the season and travels to Tilton tomorrow for a 2:30 start.
  • Tough afternoon on the road

    The wildcats played a solid first half but gave up 4 goals in the second half and lost 5-0 at undefeated Northfield Mount Hermon. KUA out shot NMH 8-7 in the first half but were out shot 11-3 in the second half. Corners were 4-2 in favor of NMH. KUA host New Hampton on Friday 11/18 at 6pm. The wildcats are now 6-2-1 on the season
  • Wildcats settle for a tie

    Junior Quinn Guth scored in the first half at the 44 minute mark to put the wildcats up 1-0. Assists going to Junior Jay Douglas and Senior Wyatt Intrator. Proctor answered in the 46th minute to tie the game at 1-1. KUA continued to press forward the entire second half but was unable to find the game winner. The wildcats outshot the hornets 28-16 and a 7-2 edge in corners. KUA is now 6-1-1 on the season and will travel to undefeated Northfield Mount Hermon on Wednesday October 16th for a 2:30 start.
  • KUA picks up win on the road

    The wildcats controlled the play from the start but could not find the back of the net until the second half. Senior Gonzalo Pascual-Sanchiz scored from 12 yards out on a nice pass from Junior Quinn Guth to put the wildcats up 1-0. Senior Ethan Barrett doubled the lead on a perfect pass from Sophomore Sebastian Morris. KUA out shot Holderness on the day 24 -7 with KUA keeper Liam Fitzgerald recording the victory. KUA improves to 5-1 on the season and head to Brewster Academy on Wednesday 10/10 for a 4:00pm start.
  • Wildcats beat St. Pauls 2-1

    KUA fell behind 1-0 at the 20 minute mark, but senior Ethan Barrett tied the game 1-1 just 10 minutes later on a volley after a scramble in the St. Paul's penalty area. The game went back and forth with each team having chances until the 75 minute when junior Quinn Guth finished off a breakaway assisted by junior Tinashe Mtetwa. St. Pauls out shot KUA 17-16 on the day with KUA holding the edge on corners 7-0. Defender Matty Gardner played outstanding for the wildcats. KUA is now 4-1 on the season and travel to Holderness on 10/4 for a 2:00pm start.
  • Wildcats improve to 3-1

    The Wildcats scored 5 first half goals on the way to an 8-2 win at Cushing Academy. Goal scorers for the Wildcats were Sebastian Morris (3), Sean Donoghue (2), Wyatt Intrator, Max Gesner and a Cushing own goal. Keepers Liam Fitzgerald and Cole Gueldenzoph split the duties in net. KUA is now 3-1 on the season and hosts St. Pauls on Wednesday October 2nd at 3:00pm
  • Wildcats improve to 2-1

    After a scoreless first half, senior Wyatt Intrator opened the scoring at the 56 minute mark unassisted. Senior Ethan Barrett doubled the lead just 9 minutes later assisted by Intrator and Junior Diego Pascual-Sanchiz. The Wildcats kept the pressure on throughout the second half with Junior Jay Douglas finishing a chance for his first goal as a Wildcat assisted by Junior Quinn Guth. KUA out shot Pomfret 20-12 on the day. keeper Liam Fitzgerald recorded the shut out, his second of the season. KUA is now 2-1 on the season and travel to Cushing Academy on Saturday September 28th for a 3:00 start.
  • KUA get first Lakes region win

    Wyatt Intrator scored a penalty kick 22 minutes into the first half to push the Wildcats to a 1-0 victory over Brewster Academy in the first Lakes Region League contest of the year. KUA finished with 20 shots on the day and limited the Bobcats to 12. Keeper Liam Fitzgerald finished with 5 saves and recorded his first shutout of the season. The wildcats improve to 1-1 on the season.
  • Wildcats come up short on the road

    KUA Wildcats battled back from a 3-0 halftime deficit, scoring two goals in the second half to lose to Rivers 3-2. Second half goals by Ethan Barrett and Diego Pascual-Sanchiz brought KUA to within one with 17 minutes to go, but KUA could not fine the equalizer. KUA out shot the hosts 20-12 on the day. KUA will host Brewster Academy on Wednesday at Pope Field at 3:30pm.
