    The Junior Varsity teams at Kimball Union Academy are dedicated to teaching fundamental skills, fostering athletic growth, and creating the foundation for future success as Wildcat student-athletes. Focused on development, these teams provide an inclusive and supportive environment for players to improve their abilities, build confidence, and gain valuable game experience.

    Coaches emphasize skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship, ensuring that every player grows both on and off the field, ice, court, or track. Through practices, games, and team-building activities, JV athletes learn what it means to be a part of the Wildcat community—playing with pride, determination, and camaraderie.

    In a riveting Lakes Regions JV basketball face-off, Kimball Union Academy’s JV 1 boys basketball team returned to Proctor Academy with a strong game plan that quickly set the pace of the match. After an initial exchange of baskets, KUA dominated the court, establishing a significant 30-15 lead by halftime and ultimately securing a commanding 59-38 victory. The team’s success was driven by a robust defense and an aggressive fast-break offense, which consistently delivered points and kept them in control throughout the game.

    In a nail-biting finish that could easily be the highlight of their season, the Kimball Union Academy JV1 boys' basketball team snatched a dramatic win from the jaws of defeat against the formidable New Hampton School Varsity B team. The final score stood at 54-51 in what was undoubtedly a fiercely contested match.

    Trailing 33-25 at halftime, KUA did not let up, showing incredible tenacity and fight. The game's climax was heart-stopping, with Cale Goodnow delivering a masterclass in clutch performance. Hitting two critical three-pointers in the final minute, Goodnow flipped a three-point deficit into a three-point lead, securing a victory that seemed elusive just moments before.
