The Kimball Union Academy softball team competes in the highly competitive Lakes Region Athletic Conference, facing top prep schools from across New England. Proudly crowned 2023 Lakes Region Champions the team is built on a foundation of athletic excellence, character development, and camaraderie. The program prepares players for collegiate softball while also supporting multi-sport athletes seeking to enhance their overall athleticism or simply enjoy the game for the friendships and experiences it fosters.  

Kimball Union Academy boasts one of the best indoor turf facilities in the NEPSAC. The 80x50 yard “Barn” can accommodate two full-size infields, two pitching mounds, and a drop-down batting cage, allowing players to practice daily regardless of New England weather. The school’s state-of-the-art weight room and dedicated strength and conditioning coach further support athletes in achieving their individual and team goals.  

The softball season begins in March, with a weekly schedule that includes practices, strength training, video sessions, and two to three competitive games. Coaches emphasize individual skill development, physical conditioning, and strategic team play, ensuring that players excel in all aspects of the game.
