It was an even start for both teams, each putting pressure in their offensive zones, but the first half remained scoreless. Once again, in the second half, both teams started strong, and it was a fast pace game with good defense on both ends of the field. Halfway through the second, Proctor took the lead, but KUA didn’t give up and scored with nine minutes left when Hailey Malozzi crossed the ball in front of the net, and Eloise Davis tipped the ball in. The Wildcats had a total of nine corners in the second half, and Carissa Tambroni executed the final one with a solid drive to the back of the net. Wildcats held off Proctors pressure in the last two minutes to win the game 2-1.
Shannon Moran had a fantastic game with a total of seventeen saves.
Wildcats are now 4-2 in the season, and they will travel to Holderness on Friday, October 4th for a 4 pm game.
