Wildcats came out ready to fight, they played a great defensive game against a very talented Cushing team. Carissa Tambroni, Delaney Williams, Mia Wolfrum, and Olivia LaRose made great defensive stops, not allowing the fast forwards to breakthrough. Wildcats were able to keep it close through the half, only allowing one goal. In the second half, the Wildcats were caught on their heels, and Cushing took advantage scoring two goals within 2 minutes of each other. After a quick timeout, the Wildcats were back to playing a great defensive game. Kelly Benson, Abby Flanagan and Molly Gesner made some great movement up the right side of the field, getting the ball in our scoring circle. On the left side of the field, Anda Brown worked hard to continue the forward movement with great eliminations. Hailey Malozzi and Jordyn Silveria hustled up the field to be able to receive cross balls from Kelly and Abby. The Wildcats' lone goal came off of a corner. Molly Gesner inserted the ball to Carissa Tambroni, who sent a rocket into the back of the net. The final score of the game was 4-1 Cushing.
Shannon Moran had another fantastic game with 15 saves in net.
Wildcats are now 6-8 on the season. They will play against Hebron Academy on Wednesday, October 30th, at New Hampton School at 5:45 pm.
