The Wildcats played their best game of the season so far against the visiting Lions of Lower Canada College. Kobi Lees opened the scoring five minutes into the game, but the Lions got the next two to go into the third period leading 2 – 1. Both teams were pressing hard in what was a fast-paced physical (but almost penalty-free) game, and Isaac Bliss scored the equalizer midway through the third. Despite a flurry of great chances late in the game, the two teams were even at the end of regulation time and so went into a 3 on 3 sudden death overtime period. Sean Donoghue, AJ Noel, and Anthony Solt started for the Wildcats and were able to maintain control of the puck until Sean slid a perfect pass across the goal crease to AJ who fired it in for KUA’s second overtime win of the season. Credit and thanks are due to Matt Sites and Gunnar Wood who both moved back to play defense for the game, to Liam McKewan who was buzzing all game long, and to Tyler Wenning who made several spectacular saves in the KUA net.
