Seven different players scored as KUA defeated the visiting Vermont Flames in a game that was much more competitive than the score suggests. Mica McGinley-Smith stood tall in the KUA net, turning away a variety of strong shots before ultimately allowing one goal on an uncontested breakaway. Kobi Lees, Michael Gratz, Matt Gardner, Anthony Solt, Patrick Hyjek (with an assist from brother Jacob), Even Oberton and Gabe Laszewski each scored one, and AJ Noel and Liam McKewan both provided impressive assists. The team faces Cushing Academy next in its second game in less than 24 hours.
