In the third-place game at the Flood-Marr Tournament, the Wildcats put forth a strong effort from start to finish to top a talented Deerfield team 4-1. Max Kimelman opened the scoring just a minute and a half into the game when he roofed a short-side wrister over the Deerfield goalie. Mikael Tissier assisted on the play. The score remained that way until the second period when Kimelman got in on the forecheck, worked a loose puck to Tissier, who then found Rowen Sang in the slot. Sang buried a backhander to put the Wildcats up 2-0. Iain Olsen struck on the powerplay late in the second to give the Wildcats a 3-0 lead heading into the third period. Matthew Ross tallied KUA's fourth goal just three minutes into the final frame. Goalie Blake McMeniman (13 saves) carried a shutout into the final minute and earned the win.
