Big Comeback Win for JV2 Boys
KUA JV2 Boys used a full-court press in the 4th quarter to erase a 16-point deficit.
The Blue and Gray squads defeated Tilton 49-44 in a big comeback win. KUA was up by 3 at the end of the 1st quarter and then down by 3 at halftime. In the 3rd quarter, though, a hot-shooting Tilton went up by a score of 40-26 by the end of the 3rd quarter. In the 4th quarter, though, Adam, John, Jack, Bear, and Lucas used a full-court press to outscore Tilton 23 to 4, with a final score of 49 to 44.
The big adjustment from this game is that Tilton played a 2-3 zone defense. We had prepared mostly for man-to-man defense, so the players greatly improved in running our zone offense as the game went on. I have preached to the guys that we will win with defense and the fourth quarter showed our potential when everybody is locked in.
