Wildcats Improve to 7-0
Omari Mobley scored 3 touchdowns and Travis Jones added 2 to pace the Wildcats to a victory under the lights against Proctor Academy.
The Kimball Union Wildcats improved to 7-0 on the season with a 52-0 win over league rival, Proctor Academy. Mike Gerardi threw 2 touchdowns and converted 3 two point conversions for winners. Gerardi threw touchdown passes of 25 and 15 yards to Omari Mobley. Mobley added his third TD of the day when he scooped up a Proctor fumble and returned it 35 yards for the score. Travis Jones added 2 touchdown runs of 8 and 3 yards. Jones also was successful on a two point conversion run.
KUA's defense capitalized on Proctor miscues all night, as Kasim Edebali scored off a fumble recovery from 52 yards out. Ross Jones scooped a partially blocked punt and sprinted 50 yards to end the Wildcat scoring. Colby Husby played a solid game, including a two point pass reception and run, as well as making some great defensive plays. Ross Jones added an interception to thwart a late Proctor drive.
The Wildcats travel to Saxtons River, Vermont for a battle against Vermont Academy next Saturday. Game time is scheduled for 2:00pm.
