Wildcats Played Middlebury Tough: 5-9

The Wildcats traveled to Middlebury, VT to play Middlebury College JV.  The girls had a quick warm up to get accustomed to the Astroturf before the game started.  The first half was back and forth; Midd scored for the first goal early, but senior Maura Doyle (Merrimac, MA) answered right back.  The teams continued alternating goals through the period ending with a tie 4-4.  The second half was chockfull with shots wide of the goal, post shots and fantastic saves by both goalies.  Neither team scored for the first 10 minutes of the half.  Finally, Midd scored with 15 minutes left and junior Morgan Walsh (Duxbury, MA) again, answered right back.  In the last few minutes of the game, the Panthers took hold of the ball and found the back of the net to get the ending lead.  Walsh finished the game with 3 goals, Doyle had 1 and senior captain Hailey Hart (Newton, MA) had 1 and junior Ellie Harrigan (Park City, UT) had 1 assist.  Christine Bouchet-Bonin (Quebec City, Quebec) returned after several days being sick and had an incredible game in net with 12 saves for the Wildcats.
The team had a great time in the scrimmage and thank Middlebury for welcoming us at their facility.
