The Wildcats came out to play again today after a night game yesterday with Middlebury. The girls traveled down to Concord, NH to play St. Paul’s. The Wildcats gained the possession after the defensive players senior captain Gretchen Schissel (Newport, NH), junior Hannah Madden (Manchester, NH), and sophomore Jojo Schafer (Meriden, NH) played smart defense on their opponent to turn the ball over. The Wildcats brought the ball down to their offense zone and after swinging the ball around the arc, junior Morgan Walsh (Duxbury, MA) drove the net and scored the first goal of the game. St. Paul’s dominated the play for the rest of the half though the Wildcats fought for every possession and stayed on top of their players on defense. Walsh scored Kimball Union’s second and final goal of the game in the beginning of the second half. Christine Bouchat-Bonin (Quebec City, Quebec) had another strong game in net with 8 saves.
The Wildcats travel to Wolfeboro on Wednesday to play the Brewster Academy Bobcats.
