KUA evens record 1-1 defeating Deerfield 59-37

Kimball Union Boys basketball travelled to Deerfield today and came away with a convincing win 59-37 to even their record at 1-1.  Inserted into the starting line-up for today, Ross Gerber scored 11 first half points going 5-5 from the field.  Crew Ainge had his second solid outing offensively with a game high 16 points.  Jon Sui went three for four from the perimeter scoring 9 points in the second half as KUA extended their nine point lead at half time to double digits early in the second half. A strong defensive effort by KUA held Deerfield below 40 for the game.  KUA returns to action on Monday for their home opener, taking on AA rival Proctor Academy with a 4:30 game start.
