KUA drops a AA game to MacDuffie 76-66.

Class AA opponent MacDuffie School walked out of the KUA gym today with a hard earned 76-66 victory.  In a defensive battle throughout the first half neither team could establish their offensive rhythm as MacDuffie took a 30-25 lead into the locker room at the half.  MacDuffie's O'mari Spellman exploded for 19 second half points and a game high total of 27.  KUA did challenge MacDuffie's lead cutting it to 50-46 with 6:30 to play behind a solid offensive effort from Kahlil Garnes (20 pts), Jon Sui (16pts) and Ross Gerber (12pts) but   MacDuffie was able to hold KUA off with the team going 17-24 from the field in the second half.  KUA returns to action on Saturday with Cushing Academy coming to Meriden for a 3:30 pm start.
