KUA sneaks out with a victory 62-60 vs Proctor

The KUA boys basketball team kept their playoff hopes alive with a come from behind victory over Class AA rival Proctor Academy today, winning 62-60 as Jon Sui and Kahlil Garnes hit consecutive threes late to close out the game. KUA was up eight at the half, 31-23, but Proctor came out of the gate going on a 10-0 run to take the lead early in the second half.  Proctor maintained this lead behind the offensive prowess of their sophomore tandem Green and Ngakakulondi, who scored 42 points for the night, until the final minute of play.  Garnes's three pointer from the top of the key with 12 seconds on the clock was the game winner for KUA.  Garnes was KUA's high scorer for the evening with 15 pts.  Eli Frater (14pts) and Crew Ainge (10 pts) joined Kahlil in double figures.  The KUA Wildcats' record now stands at 13-10 for the season.  They will make up a previously snowed out game vs Marianapolis on Friday at 6pm.  This game, normally a home game for KUA will be played at St Paul's School in Concord, NH.  With a quick turn around KUA will then play at home on Saturday at 5pm vs Brimmer.
