Wildcats lose thriller under the lights at Proctor

Playing against Proctor for the second time in ten days, KUA, this time, came out on the losing end of a one goal game. Leading 6-3 at the half, KUA’s offense stalled and Proctor’s found their momentum. With less than five minutes remaining in the 4th quarter, Proctor held a two goal, 8-6 lead. KUA’s Eric Megnia and Will Harrigan scored in quick succession to tie the game, only to watch as Proctor netted the winning goal with 14 seconds on the clock.

The Wildcats fought hard throughout the game. Cam Beecy scooped up 7 ground balls, most in traffic against two long poles. Nick Parker recorded 8 saves in net for KUA, while the defensive combinations of Jack McCarthy, Greg Surgenor, Vasili Katsarakes, and Parker Hall covered well in front of the net.

On offense, Mike Lombardi and Harrigan each netted 2 goals, while Eric Megnia and Kenny Speak assisted on two apiece. Freshmen Andrew Robertello and Sam Erb each scored as did sophomore Gavin Black.

KUA (3-4) takes on Tilton on the road next Wednesday at 2:30pm.
