Wildcats tie up Hoggers in 9-4 victory

On Saturday, the Kimball Union Academy boys’ varsity lacrosse team defeated Northfield Mt. Hermon 9-4 to record their fifth straight victory. The defense played their best game of the season, conceding only two goals until the final minute of play. Nick Parker saved 11 of 13 shots that he faced. On offense, KUA’s Will Harrigan scored three goals in the opening five minutes of the first quarter to give KUA the early lead. Mike Lombardi and Eric Megnia each scored two a piece in the second quarter to extend KUA’s lead to 8-1 at the half. Kenny Speak and Nate Wilson scored the other two Wildcat goals. Cam Beecy continued his dominance at the face-off spot, winning 70% of the restarts. KUA (8-4) plays Exeter Academy at home on Wednesday at 4pm.
