KUA faced a strong Milton team at the Flood-mar tournament over the holiday break. Milton came out well and played an appropriately physical and aggressive game. This held KUA to zero until the third period. As Milton had already amounted 2 goals in the second period, the Wildcats found themselves in an unfamiliar and difficult position. With a goal from Cesana, assisted by Heintitz and with about seven minutes left in the game, the Wildcats got a shot in the arm. Finally, Hirvonin got a pass from Griffin that with two minutes left he scored. This goal was big and forced the game into overtime. Unfortunately, Kimball Union couldn’t capitalize on some great chances and the game ended a tie, Two all.
