Disappointing finish to a great Flood-mar

Kimball Union had a great tournament and made it to the finals of the Flood-mar holiday tournament with the hopes of taking it all. This would not be the case, unfortunately. While Kimball Union fought hard and took the lead early with a goal from Armstrong, the Hockey Gods didn’t have it in the cards for that night. With a puck on edge a Kimball Union player, in an attempt to rim the puck, accidently shot it into his own net. This seemed to deflate the sails that were carrying the boys to the promise land. The next goal was from Westminster and with it went any last momentum from KUA. The final score was two to one. While the end result was not was the boys had hoped for, they nevertheless played a strong and respectable set of games to put them in the position to win.
