The Wildcats take the Hoggers

The Wildcats and the Hoggers of Northfield Mount Hermon played Wednesday night to a 7 to 0 outcome. Ben Finkelstein started out the scoring with a goal resulting from a great pass by George Sennott. While KUA came out strong and controlled the pace of the play for most of the game, the score stayed locked at 1-0 until the start of the third period. Bobby Young scored and was assisted by Nic Hamre to start the third period. Next, Dennis Cesana scored short side on a quick rush from a neutral zone turnover. The goal was unassisted and came only 3 minutes later. Young and Hamre would team up again for a goal and assist respectively that seemed to open the floodgates for the Wildcats. Ben Finkelstein would go on to net the fifth goal with a deceptive no-look backhand as he rounded the net. Michael Lombardi pushed home the Wildcat’s sixth goal of the night with an assist coming from Thomas Samuelson. Finally, the seventh goal was scored by Nick Armstrong and was assisted by Cesana. This win puts the Wildcats to 21-3-1 overall. Kimball Union hosts Kents Hill this Friday night. Come out and see some great hockey.
