It was recently announced that Sold is being made into a movie. Filming will begin in India in November.

The movie has another KUA connection. The director of photography, Reed Dawson Morano, is the daughter of faculty member, Lyn Lord. Reed visited KUA last year to discuss the filming of her award-winning movie, Frozen River, which the entire community viewed prior to her presentation.

Lyn Lord is hoping to be able to travel to India during the filming over November break.
