We are returning to The Penn Club (30 W 44th Street, New York, NY) for this special event on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, and look forward to an exciting and collaborative evening of networking, learning, and fun.

This event is part of an event series held in collaboration with fellow northern New England independent schools. Attendees will meet fellow KUA alumni while capitalizing on the expanded network that alumni from multiple schools can provide.

Keynote Speaker: Ramon Ramos ’94 (Kimball Union Academy) | Marketing

Ramon Ramos was raised on the campus of Cardigan Mountain School, where his father taught for 47 years. Ramon is a 1991 graduate of Cardigan Mountain School and a 1994
graduate of Kimball Union Academy. He attended Villanova University and graduated in 1998 with a Bachelors Degree in Media/Communications and a minor in French.

Ramon’s media career began at the local FOX affiliate in Philadelphia, where we worked in promotions, sales, marketing and research. At 24 years old he was in a station management position. He then moved to a brief stint at WUSA CBS Washington DC and then as the Director of Research for Comcast Spotlight.

In 2008 Ramos was named Vice President of Research and Sponsorship Solutions for the Comcast Sports Group which acquired and became the NBC Sports Group.

In 2017 Ramos was named Vice President of Global Esports & Gaming for VIVRT, the world’s leading broadcast graphics software company where he was tasked with creating a new revenue silo with the emerging video game and esports industry. He traveled throughout the world helping video game companies with their content until the pandemic.

Post-pandemic Ramos worked on a gaming startup and continues to assist with the development of digital media and sports education offerings at St. John’s University.

Today he continues to teach at St. John’s and works on a variety of freelance art and media projects, as well as his passion in music, with over 1500 live performances-to-date.
