Lacrosse, Softball to Play for League Championships
After tremendous seasons for Boys’ Varsity Lacrosse and Girls’ Varsity Softball, both teams will vie for the Lakes Region Championship on Saturday, May 18. The lacrosse team will head to Holderness, while softball looks to defend their championship at Tilton.
Boys’ Varsity Lacrosse at Holderness
Saturday, May 18 2:30 p.m. KUA will make its first appearance on Saturday against Holderness in the Lakes Region championship since moving to a tournament format after finishing third behind Holderness and New Hampton. The team heads into the game with a 14-4 record, the most wins ever by the team in a season. The Wildcats advanced to the championship after defeating New Hampton 14-12 in the semi-finals, avenging an OT loss to them in the regular season. KUA faces a talented Holderness team that has only lost one game in the last two seasons and is coming off an undefeated 2023 season. The game begins at 2:30 p.m. See the livestream.
Girls’ Varsity Softball at Tilton Saturday, May 18 4:00 p.m.
The defending Lakes Region Champions, the KUA Wildcats, will be on the road on Saturday. In a rematch of the previous two years’ Lakes Region championships, the softball team travels to Tilton for another championship game. With a 12-3 record in the regular season, the Wildcats will look to close out the year and will rely on the offense, defense, and pitching that has been strong all season. The game begins at 4:00 p.m.
