KUA Finishes the 2024 Season in 5th with a 14-4 Win Over Brewster
KUA Girls Varsity Lacrosse completed their 2024 season with a team win against Brewster Academy this Wednesday. The Wildcats came out strong from the first whistle and quickly gained an 8-0 lead. Svia Russman-Araya led the way with five goals and an assist, followed by Caroline Daft with four goals. Julia Chedel, Portia Berard, Lindie Brinkman all added to the scoreboard for the Wildcats.
In the midfield, Lindie Brinkman was a force all over the field, and led the game in draw controls. KUA all in all dominated the 50/50 balls, with 12 ground balls and over ten draw controls.
On the defensive end, Bridget Clark was a brick wall between the pipes with nine saves and only letting in four goals. The defense ended the year strong as a solid unit with Sylvie McClure, Maggie Lopez, Ava Mae Yates, Ana Frederick, Cheyenne Graham, Mia Dupre and Kai Boddell all contributing to the defeat over the Bulls.
The Wildcats have officially ended the 2024 season ranked fifth in the Lakes Region and are already looking ahead to make an impact next year and working towards a championship in their future.
