Down 2-0 late in the second period, the Wildcats got goals from Max Kimelman and Zach Phillips 34 seconds apart to tie the game, and they then added three third-period goals to skate to a 5-2 win over Proctor in the home opener. Xander Boutilier, Nick Evans, and Rowen Sang tallied in the third, while Sang, Mikael Tissier, Lucas Siomos (2), CJ Watroba (2), Alexis Gagne, Corwith Simmers, and Anthony Leech had assists. Goalie Blake McMeniman earned the win by kicking out 18 of the 20 shots he faced.
