Solid defensive effort results in tie

The boys welcomed Proctor to the Hilltop and were ready to bounce back after the first frustrating loss of the season.  Although Proctor outsized the KUA team, the young Wildcats were not intimidated and were aggressive from the start.  The defense, anchored by the speed of Aiden Bean ’25 and the control of Sebastian Keen ’25 in the middle of the field and ChoMan Bian ’24, Nill Charoenrujijin ’22, and Eric Chung ’24 on the outsides held strong throughout the game.  They were helped by Munich Tipattaranan ’22 in his first action of the season.  Keeper Devon LeBlanc ’25 came up big with some timely saves to maintain his first shutout of the season.

Even with strong midfield play by Mikey Winham ’25, Bleyton Hopps-Thompson ’25, Angus Spence ’25, and Matthew Fussteig ’25 and solids runs up front by Alvaro Olivo Campos ’25, Jason Cheng ’25, and Jake Parodneck ‘25, KUA wasn’t able to find the back of the net.  For the second game in a row, soccer proved that getting the better of the play isn’t always reflected on the scoreboard, and KUA settled for the tie.
