In a rematch of the top two seeds in the Lakes Region, Holderness avenged a previous loss by trouncing the Wildcats 7-2 on Saturday at Holderness. The teams battled to a scoreless first period, in large part because of 19 saves from KUA goalie Blake McMeniman. Holderness struck in the second to take the lead, but two quick KUA goals, one from Mikael Tissier and another from Jackson Davies, gave the Wildcats a 2-1 lead. The lead was short-lived, however, as Holderness scored two quick goals of its own to take a 3-2 lead into the second intermission. In the third, the home team kept pressing, striking for four goals and putting the game out of reach. Despite the score, McMeniman was strong in net for KUA, finishing with 42 saves.
