Wildcats Drop Close One to St. Paul's

In a battle of two of the top teams in New England, the Wildcats held a late lead but ultimately fell 5-4 to a tough St. Paul's team on Monday in Meriden. Pitcher Adi Runge was outstanding in the circle (7 IP, 5 K, 8 H) and at the plate (2-for-3, 1B, 2B, BB) for KUA, while Leila Portugal, Zoie Stevens, Anna Baker added hits for the Wildcats. The infield defense of Stevens, Portugal, Baker, Olivia Parker, and Stella Kozak was incredible on the day, making several diving key plays to keep the game close throughout.
