Kimball Union Academy scored 27 1st quarter points to race past Pomfret School.  The Wildcats added another 13 in the 2nd stanza, enroute to a 40-7 win.

Omari Mobley began the scoring frenzy with a 55 yard punt return after the Wildcats forced Pomfret to go 3 and out on their first offensive series.  Kevin Gangelhoff hit the first of 4 extra points on the day to make it 7-0.  KUA added to the scoring soon after on a 2 yard plunge into the endzone by Justin Wright.  Quarterback Michael Gerardi added to the scoring with a 55 yard touchdown to Mobley.  Gerardi had a productive day going 6-8 in limited action.  Freshman Kevin Vieira scooted to the first of his two touchdowns on the day with a 15 yard run to end the first quarter.

Vieira found the endzone again from 5 yards out early into the second quarter.  Noseguard Robbie Grant pounced on a Pomfret fumble to end the scoring for the Cats.

The KUA defense was stout once again, as they shut down the Pomfret run game and had many big hits on the day.  Kasim Edebali, Cyrus Western, and Akeem Labitue continued their outstanding efforts on defense.
