Wildcats Beat the Rams: 15-5

The Wildcats traveled to Tilton to play their Lakes Region opponents for the second time this season.  Junior Morgan Walsh (Duxbury, MA) scored the first goal in the first minute of the game.  Walsh scored again 3 minutes later before Tilton put a goal in.  The first half continued with several shots by both teams but few goals.  The Wildcats led 4-2 at the half.  In the second half, Kimball Union focused on taking care of the ball, making good passes and taking smart shots.  At the end of the game, Walsh finished with 4 goals; junior Marina Cerulo (West Windsor, VT) scored 3 goals; and junior Ellie Harrigan (Park City, UT), senior Maura Doyle (Merrimac, MA), and junior Storm Sideleau (Contoocook, NH) scored two goals apiece.  Junior Ali Pollard (Meriden, NH) and sophomore Emma Rohrer (York, ME) scored a goal apiece.  Pollard, Doyle, Walsh, sophomore Joanna Schafer (Meriden, NH), senior captain Hailey Hart (Newton, MA) and senior Kayla Jacobs (Norwich, VT) all picked up assists for the goals today.  Junior Amelie Poirier (Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec) has 13 saves in goal.

 

The Wildcats travel to play Middlebury JV on Friday and St. Paul’s on Saturday.
