The Kimball Union Wildcats traveled down to Andover, NH to play their rivals, the Proctor Hornets yesterday. Junior Morgan Walsh (Duxbury, MA) scored the first goal of the game off of a nice pass from junior Ellie Harrigan (Park City, UT). Proctor went on to score four goals before the Wildcats could answer back with a goal from junior Storm Sideleau (Contoocook, NH) off of a pass from senior captain Hailey Hart (Newton, MA). The team ended the half losing trailing the Hornets by 5.
In the second half, the Wildcats played strong. Senior captain Gretchen Schissel (Newport, NH), senior Maura Doyle (Merrimac, MA) and sophomore Greta Hulleburg (Norwich, VT) brought the ball safely through the midfield traffic to the offensive zone. Sideleau finished with 3 goals, Walsh with 2 and Harrigan with 1. Although dominating the half, the Wildcats could not manage to tie it up and ended up losing by 2. Junior Christine Bouchat-Bonin finished the game with 5 saves in net.
The Wildcats host the Holderness Bulls today on Pope Field at 2:00.
