AA rival Vermont Academy brought a talent laden team to Meriden to take on the KUA Wildcats, and came away with a 66-51 victory. KUA's squad made a game of it, down one at the half 26-25, and then fighting back to make it a three point game with under 8 minutes to play. At that point Vermont's depth and athleticism took over as they extended their lead to double figures to put the game away. Eli Frater lead all scorers with 18 points tonight. Joining him in double figures for KUA were Crew Ainge (12pts) and Kahlil Garnes (10 pts). KUA will find out their post season status this Sunday with the first games of the NEPSAC tournament scheduled to be played next Wednesday. Point totals: Ainge –12, Frater – 18, Garnes – 10.
