Wildcats score early and often en route to 16-5 victory over Cushing

The Kimball Union Academy boys' lacrosse team defeated Cushing, 16-5. Playing on the road, KUA scored eight goals in first quarter. By the end of the game, seven different players found the back of the net. Eric Megnia netted four goals while Kenny Speak and Will Harrigan scored three apiece. Mike Lombardi assisted on six of the Wildcat goals while adding one more of his own. Nick Parker, Chris Adam, and senior Alex Lee all saw action in goal. Together they recorded six saves.  Senior captain Jack McCarthy returned to anchor the defense alongside Greg Surgenor and Vasili Katsarakes. Nico Lindenmayer and David Hahn also stepped in at D-pole and worked aggressively to hold the Cushing attack to limited opportunities.  Long poles Owen Manley and Z Ikeda dominated the riding game, forcing numerous turnovers in the midfield.
KUA (3-1) hosts St. Paul's on Monday (today) at 4:30pm on Pope Field.
