The KUA boys’ varsity faced-off against a strong Exeter team on Pope Field. The Wildcats, coming off a five game winning streak, knew Exeter was going to be their toughest opponent of the season. Despite early lead changes in the opening quarter, Exeter ended the first half of top 11-2. The Wildcats adjusted to the speed of the game and scored four goals against Exeter’s six in the second half to end the game 17-6. As always, KUA played with grit and determination. Kenny Speak was key as the Wildcats got back on track with good skill and athleticism, especially in the transition game. Owen Manley and Cam Beecy showed their strength and hustle, as the face-off team won 53% of the restarts. Will Harrigan scored three and assisted on another to pace the KUA offense. Mike Lombardi and Eric Megnia assisted on two and one goals respectively. Sam Erb, Dylan van Leuwen-Hall, and Gavin Black scored the other Wildcat goals. Greg Surgenor and Jack McCarthy played tough nosed lacrosse in front of the KUA net. Nick Parker recorded 12 saves in net and Chris Adam saved one between the pipes.

KUA (8-5) plays at home against league leading Brewster Academy on Monday at 4pm.
