KUA beats DA

KUA faced a strong Deerfield squad at the Flood-mar tournament. Both teams hit the ice well which made for a great game to watch. KUA started the scoring with a goal from Shea that was assisted by Finkelstein and Hirvonen. Next, Lombardi scored with his assist coming from Cesana. The second period would then go on to see no goals, but plenty of chances. In the third, Young scored from Doherty. Deerfield responded with a good goal late in the third, but this was too little too late. With about one minute left on the clock, KUA scored one final goal to put the nail in the coffin. Lombardi was able to control the puck as it came up ice and through the feet of the Defenseman that was aggressively holding the blue line. With no goalie in net, Lombardi was able to finish the game with a reassuring empty netter.
