KUA beats Deerfield

Kimball Union faced a solid Deerfield squad on Wednesday night. KUA came out strong and scored about 5 minutes into the first period. Ben Finkelstein scored his first of two goals on the evening with a low slap shot from the point. He got the puck from Pat Shea and Roope Hirvonen who both received assists on the play. In the second period, Kyle Shero scored the first of his two goals. Kyle was assisted by Mike Lombardi in the ninth minute of the period. The third period went on with more scoring chances for Kimball Union as resulting from hard-nosed play. Ben Finkelstein would see his second goal mid-way through the third period with a pass coming from George Sennott. Finally, Kyle Shero netted the last goal of the game in the final minute with another assist coming from Mike Lombard. The boys extend their record to 15-3-1. The Wildcats face Brewster on the road this Friday night, but will be home against Stanstead College this Saturday at 4:30pm.
