Evan Roberts joins the KUA coaching staff for his second year as the Offensive Coordinator, as well as the Face-off specialist. Roberts comes to Meriden from Bryant University in Smithfield, RI, where he played under coach Mike Pressler from 2007-2011. He later served as an Assistant Coach for the Bulldogs during the 2012-13 academic year.
At Bryant, Roberts was an assistant coach, working with the offense. He likewise helped manage the goalies and face-off unit. During Roberts coaching career at Bryant, the team made their first ever Division 1 NCAA playoffs and lost in the first round to eventual Runner-up, Syracuse University.
As a player at Bryant, Coach Roberts was selected to the Division 1 North-South Senior All-Star Game, and was part of a midfield unit that had over 100 points. Roberts graduated with a degree in Finance and now is a Financial Advisor in the Upper Valley.
In 2010 Roberts played for Team England in the World Championships held in Manchester, England. Roberts started every game of the tournament and helped England to a 5th place finish.
Coach Roberts has also played professional box lacrosse for the Rhode Island King fish in the NALL. He also has played several seasons for the Vermont Voyageurs in the Quebec Senior Lacrosse League.
Kimball Union Academy helped mold Coach Roberts as a student and player during his two years on the hill top prior to attending Bryant. Roberts was part of the New England Prep school North-South Senior All-Star Game, was named the league MVP. He also helped KUA win a share of the League championship.
